We explain how recurring monthly billing works, the 6-month minimum commitment, the early termination fee, and the general payment conditions for TheUIXstudio plans.
1. Recurring nature of the service
TheUIXstudio offers a recurring monthly service that includes design, publishing, hosting, administration, maintenance, and support. This is not a one-time or single purchase.
By subscribing to any of our plans, the client acquires a right of use over the service for as long as the plan remains active and payments are current. This does not imply, under any circumstances, ownership of the website, code, design, hosting, domain, or any other associated technical or digital resource.
2. First monthly payment and activation
Once the plan is activated and the first payment is made, TheUIXstudio immediately begins the design, configuration, and publishing process. No additional prior coordination is required to get started.
The first monthly payment is non-refundable, as it covers service activation, technical availability, design, configuration, hosting, and initial support. Starting the work commits both human and technical resources from day one. Estimated delivery time is 7 to 14 business days from payment confirmation, depending on project complexity.
3. Billing date and cycle
Once the first manual payment is made and the delivery review is completed, the client registers their card in the recurring billing system. From that point on, monthly payments are processed automatically on the established billing date.
The billing date is defined at the time the recurring billing is activated. The client is responsible for keeping their payment method up to date and valid to avoid service interruptions.
4. VAT and taxes
All prices are expressed with the indication + VAT where applicable. TheUIXstudio operates from Ecuador but serves clients internationally.
Billing and taxes are applied in accordance with applicable regulations and based on the type of client and service. The client is responsible for any taxes applicable in their own country or jurisdiction.
5. 6-month minimum commitment
All recurring monthly plans carry a mandatory minimum commitment of 6 months from the plan activation date.
This minimum term exists because TheUIXstudio assumes the costs of design, configuration, publishing, hosting, administration, initial support, and technical resources from the very beginning — costs that cannot be recovered through a single monthly payment. The minimum term protects the viability of the service for both parties.
6. Early termination fee
If the client cancels, definitively suspends, stops paying, or requests termination of the service before completing the 6-month minimum commitment, an early termination fee of $500 + VAT will apply.
This fee covers the costs assumed by TheUIXstudio for the creation, configuration, publishing, and launch of the website. It is independent of any monthly fees already billed or collected, and does not exempt the client from paying any outstanding monthly fees.
7. Non-refundable payments
All payments made are non-refundable. This includes both the first payment and all subsequent monthly payments.
These payments correspond to service activation, technical availability, design, configuration, administration, hosting, support, and maintenance provided from the very start. This policy applies to all plans without exception.
8. Late payment or non-payment
If a monthly payment is not made on the billing date, the account enters delinquency. TheUIXstudio may suspend services once delinquency begins, without prior judicial notice.
Late fees, banking charges, or administrative costs generated by non-payment may be passed on to the client where applicable. Outstanding payments do not disappear as a result of service suspension.
9. Service suspension
In the event of non-payment, TheUIXstudio may suspend: website hosting, email, administrative access, support, maintenance, updates, and any other associated technical resources.
Suspension does not cancel outstanding payment obligations or the early termination fee if applicable. The client may request service reactivation once all outstanding payments have been settled.
10. Service reactivation
The client may request service reactivation within a maximum period of 12 months from the date of suspension or the last period of inactivity.
Reactivation may be subject to payment of: pending or overdue monthly fees, applicable early termination fees not yet settled, technical reactivation charges, and other operational costs generated during the inactivity period. TheUIXstudio reserves the right to evaluate the technical feasibility of reactivation.
11. Cancellation after the 6-month period
Once the 6-month minimum commitment has been completed, the client may cancel the plan without an early termination fee, provided there are no outstanding payments.
Cancellation must be communicated before the next billing date to avoid an additional charge for the following cycle. Once cancellation is confirmed, TheUIXstudio will proceed with service deactivation and may delete associated resources in accordance with the inactivity policy.
12. Deletion after 12 months of inactivity
If the client remains inactive, suspended, or fails to regularize payments for 12 or more consecutive months, TheUIXstudio may permanently delete the website, files, database, configurations, emails, backups, and all associated technical resources, without any obligation to preserve them indefinitely.
Once deleted, these resources cannot be recovered. The client is responsible for backing up any content of interest before this period expires.
13. Plan changes
Once the minimum commitment period has been completed, the client may request a plan change if the conditions of the new plan allow for it. Plan changes take effect from the next billing cycle unless otherwise agreed.
A plan change does not reset the minimum commitment if it has already been completed. If the client requests a plan change before completing the minimum term, the conditions of the original minimum commitment still apply.
14. Additional services
Services that exceed the scope of the monthly plan are additional and subject to a separate quote and payment.
Contracting additional services does not modify the conditions of the base plan, nor does it extend or reduce the minimum commitment. Additional services are governed by their own proposal or acceptance document.
15. Domains, hosting, email and external costs
A standard domain may be included depending on plan conditions. Not included: premium domains, .ec domains, .com.ec domains, domains with special requirements, or high-cost domains. Hosting is included while the plan is active and payments are current.
Basic corporate email configuration may be included depending on the plan. Not included: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, extended storage, additional accounts, email migrations, or premium email services. External costs beyond the standard plan scope are quoted separately.
16. Brand benefit for active clients
Active clients with their plan current and payments up to date may access the special brand creation or update benefit at $50 + VAT (regular price $550 + VAT). Includes, according to the defined scope: main logo, secondary version or isotype, color palette, suggested typography, and basic visual guide.
Does not include: complete brand manual, professional naming, legal trademark registration, full stationery, deep brand strategy, unlimited sessions or revisions. This benefit is non-transferable, non-cumulative, and not exchangeable for money.
17. Billing errors or disputes
If the client believes there is a billing error, they must notify TheUIXstudio within 15 calendar days of the charge by writing to info@theuixstudio.com.
TheUIXstudio will review the case and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If the error is confirmed, the appropriate adjustment or credit will be applied. Disputes notified after this period may not be processable.
